The 2016 JAC course is officially underway! On February 1, 10 Metro employee became Trade-Tech students, as they began their orientation week, designed ensure a successful transition from the workplace to the college classroom. From there, they dive straight into the 5-month long JAC Training program on February 8. We wish them great success!
What is JAC?
The LATTC Metro Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC) Training Program is designed to provide Rail Maintenance personnel with the introductory knowledge, skills, abilities (KSA), techniques, tools and practices to perform duties related maintenance of rail vehicles. The JAC Program consists of seven core modules, taught over approximately 5 months. The modules are based on a list of core competencies identified by the committee. Each module consists of both lecture and practical lab or field exercises.
